- Jupiter's the biggest planet in our Solar System. It's mass is 2.5 times the mass of all the planets in our Solar System combined.
- It's been known since prehistoric times.
- Jupiter has 64 moons that we know of.
- 4 of it's biggest moons were discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610. They are called Galilean Moons.
- The names of Galilean Moons compere from Zeus' lovers; Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.
- Jupiter has the biggest hurricane of our Solar System, that's called Great Red Spot.
- Great Red Spot is over two times as wide as the diameter of The Earth.
- Jupiter was named after a Roman God.
- Jupiter has a great gravitation force and it's the second most significant object in our Solar System, after the Sun.
- Besides the Earth, Jupiter's our most studied planet.
I think Jupiter's mesmerising, and that Galilean Moons are one of the most beautiful objects in our Solar System. and i really encourage everyone to study our night sky, just look up and find the world surrounding us, that makes us so small, yet so big at the same time. you can get Lost in the night sky, but it's the good kind of lost.
also hi! i haven't disappeared, tho my camera has been collecting dust and i'm not even sure where all the time has gone. right now my life is all about books, books at work (Library work. loving it tho!) books i read for pleasure (recent reads; The Great Gatsby, Room, Bang Ditto, reviews coming later). and books i read for studying, i'm applying to universities to study English, so basically, i just read. but that's a great thing, reading.
